Fortitude Valley Station (Brunswick Street) is conveniently located at the Wickham Street end of the Mall.

Buses are easily accessible in Fortitude Valley, with the 199 Buz running down Brunswick St every 15 minutes to the city and West End.

Accomodation

All of our guests will be staying at Allender Apartments and Edward Lodge located in New Farm (a 900m walk from the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts). Surrounding Allender Apartments and Edward Lodge are an array of new restaurants, cafes, shops and a supermarket. ATMs are also very close by. All accommodation is fully equipped for cooking.

Lost Property

All lost property will be available for collection at the box office of the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts. After the Festival please call the Festival Director on 0423 781 723 with regards to any lost property.

Smoking

In line with Queensland Government policy, the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts has a no smoking policy in all areas of the building. We appreciate your assistance with this issue.

Shopping

Usual shopping hours for the City Heart are 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 9pm Friday. Saturday trading is 8:30am to 4pm and Sunday trading is 10:30am to 4pm.

Weather

In 2009 the Festival falls at the end of our Winter. Temperatures in Brisbane traditionally range between 10 and 21 degrees Celsius in Winter.
