Poetry UnEARTHED Finalists Announced

After another hugely successful series of workshops and heats, the three Poetry UnEARTHED winners for 2008 have been selected. Queensland Poetry Festival are proud to announce that the three winners, Fiona McColl, David Gagen and Guy Free will now receive 10hrs professional mentoring culminating in a performance at the Poetry UnEARTHED Session staged as part of the 2008 Queensland Poetry Festival: spoken in one strange word, on Sunday August 24 at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.

QPF would like to thank each of the tutors, Pascalle Burton, Rowan Donovan & Graham Nunn; feature poets Tessa Leon, Robin Archbold & Holly Buschman; our partners Brisbane City Council, Queensland Writers Centre and Arts Queensland for their ongoing support and finally all of the people who came along and supported the events. In 2008 all three workshops were again booked out and attendance at the heats was outstanding.

MP3s of the winner's poems recorded at the heats are available for download below.
